World March of Women Declaration for March 30, Palestinian Land Day:

Stop the Genocide!

No to displacement in Palestine!

On 30 March, Palestine Land Day, we reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people against Zionist colonialism, genocide, and forced displacement. This day marks the Palestinian resistance and its ongoing struggle for its legitimate right to its land and self-determination. This cause is at the heart of the 6th International Action of the World March of Women.

On the occasion of Land Day, we, the WMW, once again denounce the link between militarization and violence against women and communities. Imperialist military forces criminalize resistance, displace populations, impose borders, and destroy traditional ways of life. This system serves transnational corporations and patriarchal capitalist order, targeting women while fueling colonial violence, militarization, and oppression from Palestine to Western Sahara, from Syria to Colombia, and from Yemen to Kurdistan, among others.

For 75 years, Palestinians have resisted forced displacement, land confiscation, and settlement expansion. Despite war, hunger, and destruction, they refuse to leave their land. Attempts to ethnically cleanse Palestinians have failed, as evidenced by their return to northern Gaza despite the destruction of their homes and infrastructure.

The WMW condemns all policies that undermine the right of Palestinians to their land and to self-determination. The occupation is a project of expansion beyond Palestine, as shown by Zionist actions in Lebanon and Syria. If the world submits to these plans, other countries will be threatened. We also stress that the occupation project is, in essence, an expansionist ideological project represented by the Promised Land, and the occupation will not be satisfied with Palestine, for them the Promised Land extends from the Nile to the Euphrates, and if the international community and the Arab countries accept these plans, they will have to think of the next country whose turn it will be – just look at what the Zionist occupation is currently doing in southern Lebanon and Syria.

The international community must go beyond solidarity to demand an end to the occupation and defend the self-determination of the Palestinian people, as recognized by the International Court of Justice and the United Nations General Assembly. The displacement of the Palestinian population threatens to spread the conflict to all the countries in the region, jeopardizing the chances of peace and coexistence between peoples.

Our feminist vision links war to patriarchy and capitalism, calls for demilitarization and promotes a culture of peace that goes beyond the mere absence of war. We fight for women’s rights in conflict zones. Our actions against war and militarization demand that women be included in peace negotiations, advocate civil disobedience in response to aggression, seek to build transnational networks and reject imperialism.

On the occasion of Land Day, the WMW calls on all progressive forces to:

  • Demand a total ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israel.
  • Support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their safe return to their land.
  • Provide emergency aid and reconstruction in Gaza.
  • Ensure that those responsible for israeli war crimes are held to account.

Stop the genocide, no to displacement!

We march against war and capitalism,

We defend the sovereignty of all peoples against zionism and imperialism!
