Congratulations to the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women and President Raja Dahmani
The Tunisian Association of Democratic Women concluded its 14th Congress on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Tunis. The congress culminated in the election of a new national board comprised of nine activists, with activist Raja Dahmani elected as President of the Association.
The Tunisian Association of Democratic Women holds a significant place within Tunisian civil society and is a pioneering organization within the feminist movement in the Maghreb and Arab regions, with a notable international presence.
In the National Coordinations of the World March of Women MENA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women on the success of its congress. We also warmly congratulate comrade Raja Dahmani on the trust she deservedly earned through her presidential election. We have come to know and appreciate her creative activism through our collaborative work in regional coordination. We wish her success in this new role, in which we are confident she will advance the causes of Tunisian women and push forward the feminist struggle in our region towards equality and all human rights for women.
