Between the hammer of genocide and the anvil of displacement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of March 30, Palestinian Land Day, the World March of Women (WMW) is publishing a new brochure that sheds light on the ongoing struggles of Palestinian women in the face of occupation, genocide, and forced displacement. This timely publication comes at a critical moment as Palestinians continue to endure escalating violence, land theft, and systematic oppression under the Zionist project of extermination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brochure, titled Between the Hammer of Genocide and the Anvil of Displacement: Legendary Steadfastness and Continuous Resistance, compiles in-depth analysis, historical perspectives, and first-hand accounts that reflect the resilience of Palestinian women. Covering key issues such as food sovereignty, land rights, and the impact of war, it highlights women’s central role in the struggle against colonization and their efforts to sustain their communities through grassroots organizing, cooperative movements, and political resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contributions and Solidarity: A Collective Effort for Palestine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This booklet is the result of a collective effort by grassroots activists, researchers, and organizers dedicated to documenting the realities faced by Palestinian women. It brings together contributions from Palestinian women on the ground, feminist academics, and international solidarity movements that have long supported the Palestinian struggle. Their voices, testimonies, and analyses offer a multidimensional perspective on intersecting struggles: land dispossession, militarization, and economic hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this publication, the World March of Women reaffirms its commitment to strengthening global solidarity networks and mobilizing international action for justice and liberation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to this booklet. The authors shared their knowledge and experiences, bringing crucial perspectives to this work. A dedicated team worked tirelessly at every stage of the process to ensure its completion. Capiremov.org organized the call for posters featured in this booklet, contributing to its visual and political impact. Palestinian women continue to resist, live, and inspire us with their struggles, reminding us daily of the urgency of solidarity. The urgency of Earth Day 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earth Day commemorates the 1976 protests against Israeli land confiscation, in which six Palestinians were killed. Today, nearly five decades later, the situation remains dire. The war in Gaza has intensified, with entire neighborhoods reduced to rubble and mass displacement forcing families into an endless cycle of suffering. In the West Bank, illegal settlements are expanding at an alarming rate, while Palestinian farmers and women-led cooperatives face relentless attacks and deprivation of resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women’s resistance and legal struggles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A section of the publication, An Analysis of the Legal Status of the July 2023 Invasion of the Jenin Camp by Israeli Occupation Forces, provides a detailed examination of human rights violations in the occupied territories. The July 2023 assault on Jenin was a stark reminder of the systematic brutality faced by Palestinians. The destruction of homes, mass arrests, and killings of civilians reinforced the apartheid state’s goal of erasing Palestinian identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another chapter, What Do Palestinian and Arab Women Have to Celebrate on March 8?, questions the role of the global feminist movement in recognizing and standing in solidarity with Palestinian struggles. It calls on international feminist organizations to take a firm stance against occupation and genocide, emphasizing that true liberation cannot exist without the dismantling of colonial oppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call to action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The publication of this booklet is not only a documentation of current oppression, but also a call to action. OCN Palestine and MMM urge movements, organizations, and individuals around the world to amplify Palestinian voices, pressure governments to hold Israel accountable for its crimes, and support Palestinian-led grassroots initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we commemorate Earth Day 2025, may this publication serve as a reminder that the Palestinian people’s struggle for justice, sovereignty, and dignity is far from over. It is a reaffirmation of the legendary steadfastness and ongoing resistance that define Palestine’s struggle for liberation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
