With Heavy Hearts, We Mourn the Loss of Our Sister Nana Aicha Cisse
t is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Nana Aïcha Cissé (Mali), yesterday evening. Nana was a cherished member of our International Committee, representing the Africa Region, and a devoted militant of the World March of Women from Mali since its beginning.
Her unwavering resilience, deep belief in peace, and relentless struggle for the rights and freedom of women worldwide are a testament to her remarkable character. Nana’s political, ideological, and organizational skills were a beacon of light for our movement.
Although she is no longer with us, her spirit and legacy will continue to guide us until all women are free. We are deeply sorry for this loss but find solace in knowing that her work will inspire future generations.
May she rest in peace.
