We stand in solidarity with the struggle of Indonesian people against oppressive actions of far-right governments. Just like in Nepal, the demonstrations are continuing in Indonesia. 10 people passed away, about 3400 were arrested, about 500 injured.
What is being witnessed in Indonesia is what is also being witnessed in Nepal; corruption, greedy and oppressive actors are the symptoms of a failed governance system.

We are in solidarity with our sisters who rise against land grabbing, ecological destruction by the government, non-transparent and corrupted taxation, refuse an understanding of development which only benefits the rich to become richer yet makes the poor even poorer. WMW puts feminist mobilizing in the center for a better future. If a better life, better system is to be established, this will be only held possible with feminist struggle.

We are issuing this solidarity message because the WMW aligns with its international mission of promoting women’s rights and social justice while standing in solidarity with the people of Indonesia during this turbulent period. Our sisters in Indonesia, Nepal, West Saharawi, Kanaky, Palestine and all the sisters who still resist for their dignity, our solidarity with you all.
