International Webinar | Women in Defense of Venezuela: Building Feminist Solidarity Against Imperialism

The World March of Women(WMW), together with International People’s Assembly (IPA) and Capire, is organizing an international online webinar titled “Women in Defense of Venezuela: Freedom for Maduro and Cilia Flores Now!” 

The online gathering will take place on Wednesday, 14 January, bringing together feminist, popular, and anti-imperialist movements to reaffirm their solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and to denounce ongoing imperialist aggression.

The webinar will be held online via Zoom, with live streaming on YouTube, and simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Turkish to ensure broad international participation. It will take place at 4:00 pm in Turkey, 9:00 am in Venezuela, 3:00 pm in Palestine, and 6:45 pm in Nepal, allowing activists from different regions to join together in a shared political space.

The conversation will bring together women from Venezuela and from different regions of the world to share political analysis, lived experiences of resistance, and feminist perspectives on defending sovereignty and self-determination. Voices from solidarity brigades and international movements will reflect on the meaning of the Bolivarian Revolution today and on how our movements can respond collectively to imperialist violence and interference. Messages of solidarity from organizations across Latin America, Africa, and the MENA region will further reinforce our common commitment to coordinated action.
