For more than 60 years, Cuba has resisted the criminal U.S. blockade, which has intensified with a new imperialist offensive since January 29, when the Trump administration declared Cuba an extraordinary threat to the United States and threatened all nations worldwide with tariffs on those selling fuel to Cuba.
The World March of Women demands an end to the blockade and the policy of energy suffocation against Cuba. We organize as an anti-systemic, feminist, and popular movement to amplify the voices of Cuban women who are resisting, to tell the world that what Cuba faces today is a slow and silent genocide, and above all to make it clear through our actions that Cuba is not alone.
We call for mobilization in feminist solidarity with the Cuban people and especially with women of Cuba for 24 Hours Feminist Solidarity Action on April 7, which marks the birthday of Vilma Espín, a key revolutionary leader and feminist figure in Cuba. This date honors the legacy of women in revolutionary struggles, connects feminist movements of the past and present, and represents the power of organized women.
