The World March of Women stands in unwavering solidarity with the activists aboard the Madleen, a humanitarian boat organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition to break the deadly siege on Gaza. On board are feminists, parliamentarians, movements and defenders of life and justice, bringing vital aid and a powerful message of international resistance.
We denounce the violent interception of the Madleen by Israeli forces in international waters, the detention of its passengers, and the confiscation of humanitarian supplies.
Israel’s inhumane treatment of activists it unlawfully detained has exposed the torture and mistreatment that is happening in its prisons. These acts are blatant violations of international law and an attack on all those who stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
We also extend our support to the Humanitarian Sumud Convoy mobilizing across North Africa under the slogan “The chains must be broken.” This convoy reflects the growing strength of people’s resistance and feminist solidarity across borders.
We, the World March of Women, demand:
Our feminist internationalism rejects borders that divide our struggles and silence our resistance. From Palestine to every corner of the world where women are under siege, we reaffirm:
We will march until we are all free
The chains will be broken.
