The World March of Women expresses its unwavering solidarity with the Sahrawi people—especially the Sahrawi women who continue to lead their struggle for freedom, dignity, and self-determination under the harsh conditions of occupation, exile, and colonial domination.
We firmly condemn the recent unilateral initiatives by imperialist and colonial powers that aim to impose the so-called “autonomy regime” in Western Sahara which they assert that it is only feasible solution to the conflict, rather than full independence for the Sahrawi people.
This attempt flagrantly violates international law and disregards the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, as recognized by the resolutions of the United Nations and the African Union.
The so-called “autonomy proposal” is nothing more than an effort to legitimize the Moroccan occupation and erase the just and legitimate demands of the Sahrawi people. It is a continuation of colonial strategies that have long sought to silence peoples who resist domination, exploitation, and patriarchal violence.
As a global feminist movement committed to peace, justice, and sovereignty of peoples, the World March of Women denounces the complicity of global powers—including within the UN Security Council—that seek to impose political solutions serving corporate and geopolitical interests rather than the will of the Sahrawi people. The struggle of Western Sahara is not an isolated case—it is part of a global pattern of neocolonial aggression, militarization, and capitalist plunder that we, as women, resist everywhere in the world.

We stand beside the National Union of Sahrawi Women and the POLISARIO Front, the legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people, in their just struggle for independence and freedom. We recognize and honor the strength, resilience, and leadership of Sahrawi women who organize in refugee camps, occupied territories, and across the diaspora—keeping alive the memory of their martyrs and the dream of a free Western Sahara.
Like Algerians like Namibians, the Sahrawi people will prevail.
Their struggle is our struggle.
We, the World March of Women, declare:
As the World March of Women, we know that there can be no peace without justice, no democracy without sovereignty, and no freedom without decolonization.
We march in feminist solidarity with Sahrawi women who continue to resist, organize, and build hope in the face of oppression.
We will continue to march until all women are free!
