WMW denounces US imperialist aggression against Venezuela
The World March of Women condemns and denounces the military aggression and violence perpetrated by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro in the early hours of January 3, 2026.
The attacks are a flagrant violation of international law and represent the advancement of the “Trump corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine, the open and blatant resumption of the policy of colonial domination over Our America. This aggression against Venezuela is an aggression against all Latin American and Caribbean peoples who dare to build sovereign paths, and as Latin Americans we stand in solidarity with the women and people of Venezuela.
From the World March of Women, we call on all our sisters to join forces and mobilize alongside popular movements in protest and solidarity, to demand peace and respect for Venezuelan sovereignty.
We demand an immediate end to US military aggression. We demand that the governments of the region speak out clearly and stand as a barrier to imperialism. We demand respect for the integrity of Venezuelan territory and the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people over their politics, resources, and common goods.
We join the peoples and governments that stand with Venezuela at this decisive moment. As a feminist, popular, and internationalist movement, we reaffirm our commitment to the sovereignty of peoples and their right to build their own destiny.
We march against wars; we are fighting for popular sovereignty.
U.S. out of Venezuela! Trump out of Latin America and the
Caribbean!
