Between 12 and 16 November, the People’s Summit will take place in Belém (Pará), ahead of COP-30. The World March of Women will be represented by a delegation of activists mainly from the northern Amazon region, but also from other states such as Maranhão, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, as well as from the WMW in other countries such as Turkey, Palestine, Western Sahara, Kenya, Indonesia, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Peru.
Alliance with the autonomous process of social movements is one of the most important characteristics of the World March of Women as a grassroots movement. In defense of anti-capitalist, anti-racist feminism, we denounce the capture of multilateral spaces such as COP by corporations, which only offer false and insufficient solutions to the enormous challenge we are facing. As we are marching from Nyeleni to COP30, we continue to chant ’’Systemic Transformation, now or never.’’

Activities of WMW: Feminist Economics for Climate Justice
Two sessions will be held on feminist economics for climate justice, the first to deepen the discussion and expand the relationship between the two. The second session aims to bring together ideas about Feminist Economics in different regions, relating them to the environmental crisis and the concrete resistance of women in territories worldwide.

Activities Organized in Partnership with WMW
During the 13th and 14th of November, four plenary sessions will be held on the themes of environmental racism, corporate power, inclusive transition, grassroots feminism, and women’s resistance in the territories. On 15/11, WMW will join the Climate March on the People’s Internationalism bloc.
