It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Nana Aïcha Cissé (Mali), who left us on August 9th. Nana was a cherished member of our International Committee, representing the Africa Region, and a devoted militant of the World March of Women from Mali since its inception.

Nana’s unwavering resilience, deep belief in peace, and relentless struggle for women’s rights and freedom worldwide were a testament to her remarkable character. Her political, ideological, and organizational skills were a beacon of light for our movement.

Although Nana is no longer with us, her spirit and legacy will continue to guide us until all women are free. We are deeply sorry for this loss, but we find solace in knowing that her work will inspire future generations.

We invite all sisters to join us in a special online webinar to pay tribute to Nana Aïcha. We wish to see you all there as we honor her memory and celebrate her life.

Join us in honoring the legacy of Nana Aïcha Cissé.
