With deep concern the women and feminists of the international movement World March of Women of which the territory of the Americas and the focal point of the women of Peru is an active member; We have observed that day by day the civic and social rights are being violated that violate the elementary minimums established in the charter for humanity of human rights.
On December 10, the United Nations declared for the world this inalienable human right: to express their opinion, participate and demonstrate publicly when civil society considers that their individual and collective freedoms are being violated.
This week South America is in turmoil because of the repression and systematic violation of the democratic system established and legitimately constituted by an electoral process that brought Pedro Castillo to the presidency of that country. Therefore, it is these people who must be listened to and who are demanding with renewed strength a Constituent Assembly for their country, in order to rebuild from the grassroots a new constitutional period that delivers humanist values, preventing corruption and the unlimited powers of a few citizens to get rich while large sectors of the population suffer discrimination, hunger and poverty.
The women of the different territories of Peru have constantly demonstrated against the extractivism that plunders their natural resources and mineral wealth, against the new forms of agro-industrial production that puts big capital at the center, not safeguarding the sustainability of life and in constant detriment to the care of our planet that we inhabit, in turn negatively impacting their lives.
Therefore we raise our voice to repudiate the coup actions in our territories and to stand in solidarity with the movement of Peruvian women, youth and children who take to the streets to demonstrate publicly against the coup apparatus and for what is their own right in defense of their bodies and territories.
NO MORE VIOLENCE, NO MORE UNPUNISHED ASSASSINATIONS, NO MORE MILITARIZATION, THE CITIZENS HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN THE STREETS, THE PEOPLE SUPPORT THOUSANDS OF VOICES THAT RISE UP AND WE WOMEN STAND IN SOLIDARITY FROM THE AMERICAS AND THE WHOLE WORLD.
WE RESIST TO LIVE, WE MARCH TO TRANSFORM.
WE WILL CONTINUE MARCHING UNTIL ALL OF US ARE FREE.

The grassroots feminists of the WMW Macronorte, after 3 days of very intense debate in our V Feminist Camp, and facing the political context of Peru, we ratify the strengthening of popular power from below in order to bring about profound anti-patriarchal, anti-capitalist, anti-colonialist changes and to prevent the party leaders from taking advantage of our struggles and resistances and negotiating everything according to their interests.
Likewise, we agree to REJECT THE COUPD OF STATE PERPETRATED BY THE RIGHTIST, CORRUPT, RACIST AND FASIST CONGRESS OF THE REPUBLIC, Dina Baluarte, her ministries, armed forces, TC, and right-wing coup alliances do not represent us. RESPECT THE SOVEREIGN ELECTIONS OF WOMEN AND THE PERUVIAN PEOPLE. y We denounce the illegal detention of Pedro Castillo.
We demand the closure of the congress, the liberation and restitution of Pedro Castillo as President and the URGENT Popular, Plurinational, Parity, Sovereign, Ecological Constituent Assembly.
We ask international human rights organizations to protect the lives of all people who are taking to the streets for our lives and our just rights. We demand the cessation of militarization, criminalization and assassination of the Protest, to date there are 2 dead and more than 20 wounded throughout the country.
The diverse women, GRASSROOTS FEMINISTS, continue in permanent mobilization in defense of democracy of the people and for the people (and not the democracy of the constitution of 93, which militarizes and kills), for life, in defense of water, for food sovereignty, communities, our bodies, land and territories.
